Buildings Insurance

This insures against the cost of damage to the structure of your business property and can include the windows, doors, ceilings, floors, walls and roof against disasters such as:

  • Fire
  • Explosion
  • Lightning, storms and flooding
  • Earthquakes
  • Theft
  • Subsidence
  • Impact by vehicles or aircraft

Buildings insurance should cover the full rebuilding costs of the property including costs such as clearing the site, architects fees.

When you may not be covered by buildings insurance:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • If you are under insured, this means that your building was not insured for its full value; however your insurer may still agree to pay a proportion of your claim.
  • If your property is at risk of flooding, or is at a greater risk of subsidence you may find insurers will only cover you if you agree to pay a bigger premium.

Deciding what kind of cover you need can hard, let our team of business advisors help you.
